Annex Suspension Group was founded in 2018 by Grant Hendricks of Battle Garage Racing Service and Ezekiel of CM Autohaus in Fremont, CA, both longtime AE86 enthusiasts with deep roots in the chassis.

After years of working on, tracking, and developing AE86s, they felt the suspension market lacked properly tuned options that balanced real world comfort, track performance, and affordability for enthusiasts. That philosophy became the foundation of Annex Suspension.

Rather than offering generic off the shelf coilovers for every platform, Annex focuses on extensive chassis specific R&D by bringing in physical development cars to measure motion ratios, suspension geometry, corner weights, and real world driving behavior. This same approach has been heavily applied to the BRZ and GR86 platform, where Annex developed separate suspension specs for both first and second generation cars due to the major differences in chassis rigidity, stroke requirements, and damping characteristics.

Today, Annex continues to refine and improve each platform with updated valving, components, and real world testing to create suspension systems engineered by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.
